This presentation will describe recent breakthroughs in the field of osteoarticular health. It will include a special focus on two areas and their potential for regulation by a dietary intervention: the link between joint health and metabolic syndrome and the effect of the immune system on joint health.
Dr. Martínez-Puig earned a DVM and a PhD in nutrition at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. As the manager of the Human Health R&D Department at Bioibérica S.A., Dr. Martinez-Puig coordinates research projects that develop dietary supplements and functional foods for joint and digestive health. He is the co-author of four patents and has authored more than 50 publications and communications to scientific congresses.
